The Back Lane Painters
“The
Back Lane Painters” have exhibited regularly in RHA and Oireachtas
exhibitions and are all well established artists. While still
retaining the tradition of “plein air” landscape painting, their
work covers a broad range and includes still life, and figurative
paintings. They are particularly noted for their colour harmony
and a loose expressive technique. Tom Ryan, our President and
PPRHA will officially open the exhibition.
In the recent Member's Survey many members cited
the Club's exhibitions as one of the more popular events they
attend. Exhibitions are always opened on a Thursday night and are
more often very entertaining nights.
We have had a
full program of exhibitions in the past year, with exhibitions
being held at three-week intervals. There has been an increase in
the number of applications for exhibitions and we are booked up
for most of the coming year.
